Alleppey Green Cardamom from Kerala was granted with GI Tag in 2008.

With unique shade of green, this cardamom has ribbed appearance & minimum splits. It is larger in size – 21 mm length and 8 mm diameter. In addition to Kerala, this spice is grown in Southern and Western Tamil Nadu.

Naga Mircha is Nagaland’s first chilli or even the first good to be awarded as GI Tag.

With 1 million Scoville Heat Unit (SHU), this chilli is one of the world’s hottest varieties. Also known as Raja Mircha, it appears in a sub-conical to conical shape with finely wrinkled skin, thin flesh, and an intense aroma.

Mongra Saffron from Kashmir – a GI tagged prodct – has 10% more pigment than Lacha and Guchi Saffron.

Kashmiri Mongra Saffron has the darkest color among others with a coloring strength of 250, which is 3X more powerful than other coloring agents. Also known as ZAFRAN-E-SAR-GOL, it is well-known for its rich aroma and strong flavor.

Kanniyakumari Cloves from Tamil Nadu – the first Clove variety introduced in India by East India Company in 1800’s.

This clove variety has received a GI tag due to the high concentration of volatile oil content, which is 21%, and piquant aroma. Interestingly, it account for 65% of India’s clove production.
